A friend of mine saw my planning ans suggested I add travel tips in the blog too! So here I am sharing my planning and things I did there
I was going for 4 days arriving Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday- we left on Wednesday early morning and went directly to work.
This what I planned and done about 95% of what planned.. We stayed at the Hilton in Bellevue and since we had the Hilton Honors membership we got on a special floor with fresh breakfast and dinner appetizers. The hotel wasn't that far from the Seattle downtown!
Things to do in Seattle:
· Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour in Everett --> about 45 mins drive from Seattle --> it was sooo worth it! I bought several things from the Boeing store.
--> make sure to buy the tickets online- you can save 2 bucks a ticket and they sell out pretty quick as well.
· Washington State Ferries --> maps guide for ferries is here its cheap and worth it- the view from the ferry is breathtaking.
On the ferry |
· The Seattle Great Wheel --> breath-taking views.
· Clubbing--> which we ended up not going- instead we went to the bar in our hotel with friends which was amazing!
· Argosy Cruises (checked availability- we have to book this in advance so please let me know and I can book it if everyone wants to go) --> included in Citypass
o Beachers Handmade Cheese
Restaurants:
if you like raw oysters, Seattle is famous for that incase you would wanna go check it out here is the link:
Other good restaurants --> which I was told not to miss :D
You can buy the city pass from here:
Portland:
Few things that are famous in Portland are as below:
On the way to Portland from Seattle we went to the Mt. St. Helens national Monument.. it was worth the drive and time.. So beautiful and amazing how nature has evolved in just a decade!
Mt. Saint Helen's National Monument
Tuesday morning did the Columbia River Gorge Hike which is about 20 mins from Portland.
Stumptown Coffee Roasters is one famous coffee place in Portland
They also have the famous Voodoo Donuts which are very famous..
