Sea of Shoes.. :)

My Ann Taylor black Heels went bad.. as I wore them everyday pretty much at work! :( They were sooo comfortable- I am still debating if I should get it repaired or should I just toss them away in my Good Will pile! What do you think?

I was in really bad need of shoes since last month, finally ordered a few new pairs now.. yay

Here are the few I bought!

I bought these very basic colors this time.. I love each one of them, they are very comfortable and don't make any noise or didn't give any blisters..  I am enjoying them very much.

In my previous post about the 7 Special Shoes you can see my other shoes too!

30 MUST HAVES for Office Emergency Fashion Kit

In my previous post back in April, I mentioned about the Fashion Emergency Kit..

In this post I am going to write in detail about the kit you can either create on your own or make it yourself.

On your way to work, lets say you realized your skirt's hem has fallen apart, no problem! You can use the fashion tapes and safety pins to fix it. or let's say you spilled your coffee over your shirt- no worries your fashion kit has a tide stain removing pen.. or, your cute new shoes are giving you blisters but you have meeting all day long and gotta run around - problem solved.. you have a shoe insole pair in your fashion kit. :)

Here is my list of essentials for my DIY fashion emergency kit:

  1. Deodorant Stain Removing Sponge: I bought mine from bed bath & beyond- click here, for the one I bought. The container store also has it for same price range if you would like to check there!
  2. Static Guard: You can buy it from here.
  3. Fashion Tapes: These are the tapes with double sided adhesive and clear in color.. These can be used to close blouse gaps, stop slipping bust lines, tack up dropping hems or anchor peeking bra straps or secure shoulder pads. add body jewelry or tack shoulder pads or anchor a wrap skirt or stop gapping blouse front or keep scarves in place- keep belt ends flat or anchor revealing necklines and much more.. I have used these in sooo many scenarios.. I have one in my purse at all times and one in my emergency kit at my desk. You can buy it here.
  4. Sewing Kit: You can find several options for these.. This one has pretty much all the things you would need. I just use the one I got in hotel room once and didn't end up using! comes in handy at times :)
  5. Mini Lint removing roller: I use this one, but you can find it easily at the travel section of any grocery store or bed bath and beyond or even target.
  6. To go Stain Remover Pen: I love the tide stain removing Pen for my regular use.. to remove spots once in a while here and there.. bought mine from amazon.. link here
  7. Wrinkle Remover: Another thing which I love in my kit is: Downey wrikle remover spray.. again this you can find at any local store or here, this makes my clothes look fresh and wrinkle free.
  8. Safety Pins: Every working girls best friend.. :) Safety pins.. anything goes wrong these come in very handy! you can get it here or buy from your local store!
  9. Bobby Pins: Another best friend.. buy here or from your local store. For me, I have wavy hair so the days I don't straighten my hair or if I am having a bad-hair day then these bobby pins come in very handy after braiding my hair.. it makes me look more neat & sharp.
  10. Hair Ties: Ofcourse, you can't miss having these too in your kit. Buy here
  11. Travel Size Lotion: I love EOS for its smells, bought mine from here
  12. Lip balm: Again I love EOS for this, bought mine from costco, but you can buy from here too
  13. Mini pre-pasted toothbrush: these come in handy for fresh breath.. I bought mine here
  14. Breath-mints or chewing-gum: I like the good old Altoids.
  15. Facial Tissues: I have oily skin so I buy these in bulk and keep 1 around me everywhere.. bought mine here
  16. Mini-deodorant: I rarely leave house without deodorant but, when I do it feels weird! so I have one in my emergency kit just in case! Buy it at your grocery store or amazon!
  17. Hair Brush: I love my revlon travel hair brush, but this one is pretty popular too.
  18. Baby Powder: I keep a mini pack of baby powder- just to feel fresh or put some in my shoe during the hot days. ;P
  19. Mouthwash: Again for quick feeling fresh tool.
  20. Hand Sanitizer: I love keeping my hands clean so I am obsessed with having a hand-sanitizer around me at all times.
  21. Q-tips: These I use to remove any smudge or fix my manicure in emergency.
  22. Tampons or Maxi Pads: because sometimes we forget
  23. Blister Treatment: these band-aids come in very handy when you get blisters due to cute new shoes.. buy here.
  24. Blister Block: I like this one
  25. Shoe Insoles: these are the reason I can wear heels.. I buy mine from target or payless but they are available everywhere..
  26. Instant Heel Tip Replacement Caps: My heels break often so I fix them myself using these.. Sometimes at work in emergency, so I have 1 pair here at work just in case.
  27. Dry Shampoo: I LOVE this one, I have 1 full size bottle at home too.. they come in handy when I am in rush and have no time to wash my hair.
  28. Snap Razor: I always have this one in my purse for emergencies.. its so tiny and cute and does the job perfectly.
  29. Mini Treats: for when you have to skip lunch, these are filling and healthy- I usually have some edamame seeds or some pretzels, popcorn or some yogurt or fruit.
  30. Basic Medicines: We have a medical box at my company but, if you don't then it's always the best idea to keep some basic medicines around, like some band-aids, advil, antiacids, pain-killers etc. it's a personal choice.
Anyway, this is my list of things, do you have something interesting you would like to share from your emergency kit?

Please feel free to drop a comment/suggestion.

Have a great rest of the week..
